Beginner Classes

Our beginner tango classes are perfect for anyone new to dancing. You’ll learn the fundamentals of Argentine Tango while building confidence and connection on the dance floor.

No dance experience required. No partner needed.
Open Role – you can learn to lead, follow, or switch as you wish.

12-week series – concepts build on each other, but drop-ins are welcome and adaptable.

Step in, explore tango at your own pace, and enjoy learning in a welcoming, supportive environment.

Beyond Beginner

Recommended for dancers with at least 3 months of tango experience, including graduates of our beginner series. Beyond Beginner dives deeper into the mechanics of Argentine Tango, helping you expand your movement vocabulary and refine your technique.

Explore contrabody motion, cross system, and more advanced figures.
Open role class – continue developing both lead and follow skills.
Build confidence and fluidity on the dance floor in a supportive, welcoming environment.

Sliding Scale/Volunteer Offerings

We believe tango should be accessible to all.
If the recommended pricing is a barrier, we offer a sliding scale of $5–$15 per class—no questions asked.

We also offer quarterly volunteer opportunities in exchange for classes and events.
Everyone is welcome to dance and be part of the Q Tango community.

Class Sizes
(Pre-registration Recommended)

To ensure personalized instruction and attention, we limit each class to 24 students. For the best experience, we encourage pre-registering, though walk-ins are always welcome when space allows.

Private classes

Deepen your connection, sharpen your skills, and enjoy personalized instruction.

Both Sandy and Steve offer private lessons. Taking private dance lessons offers several advantages that can greatly enhance your dancing experience.

Rates:
Each session is 45 minutes and includes 1 teacher.

Single session: $80
5 sessions: $375
10 sessions: $700.

Additional $20/session for both teachers.
